Getting started
Discovering palettes
Use Prism's Today, Gallery, or Moments areas to explore palettes inspired by photography, places, moods, and everyday color stories.
Extracting colors from photos
Choose a photo from your library and Prism will identify colors that help define the moment. You can review the extracted palette and manually replace colors when you want a different result.
Using the camera
Open the camera color extraction tool, point your device at the scene, and let Prism build a palette from the live view. Camera access must be enabled in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
Generating palettes
Describe an idea, place, mood, or feeling in Studio and Prism will turn it into a palette you can refine, save, or share.
Exploring harmonies
Start with a color and explore complementary, analogous, triadic, split-complementary, and monochromatic relationships.
Saving palettes
Save palettes and moments you want to revisit. Saved items are kept in Prism so you can build a personal library of color inspiration.
Prism Pro
What Prism Pro includes
Prism Pro may include expanded access to palette creation, extraction, saves, an ad-free experience, and future premium features where available. The exact included features are shown in Prism before purchase.
Subscription management
Prism Pro subscriptions are managed through Apple. Open your Apple account subscription settings to view, cancel, or manage renewal.
Restore Purchases
If Prism Pro or Remove Ads is not recognized, open Prism and use Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Remove Ads vs Prism Pro
Remove Ads is intended to remove advertising from the free experience. Prism Pro is a premium subscription that may include broader creation, extraction, saving, and future premium benefits. Check the purchase screen in Prism for the current feature list.
Purchase and subscription help
App Store billing, subscription management, cancellation, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple. Prism cannot directly cancel a subscription or issue an App Store refund from inside support email.
Troubleshooting
Photos do not appear
Check Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Prism and allow selected photos or full access. If you use limited access, add the photos you want Prism to see.
Camera permission denied or camera does not open
Check Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera > Prism and turn camera access on. If the camera still does not open, close Prism, reopen it, and restart your device if needed.
Unsplash or gallery images fail to load
Check your internet connection and try again. Some image sources may depend on third-party service availability.
Purchases are not appearing
Use Restore Purchases, confirm you are signed in with the correct Apple ID, and make sure the App Store can connect to Apple's services.
Prism Pro is not recognized
Restore purchases, reopen Prism, and verify the subscription is active in your Apple account subscription settings.
Generated palette looks unexpected
Try a more specific prompt with a place, mood, lighting condition, or color direction. Palette generation is creative and may vary by wording.
Saved palettes are missing
Confirm you are using the same device and app installation. If saved palettes are stored locally, deleting the app or clearing app data may remove saved content.
Restarting onboarding
Check Prism settings for any onboarding or reset option. If one is not available, contact support with your device and Prism version.
App update issues
Open the App Store, check for Prism updates, and restart your device. If the issue began after an update, include that detail in your support request.
